Wow! You learn something new everyday.
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. Who knew, right? Or is it, Write?
Anyway, according to their mission: "National Novel Writing Month is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that believes in the transformational power of creativity. "We provide the structure, community, and encouragement to help people find their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds—on and off the page. National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days."
50k in 30days! Whoa!
If you check out their website they are as serious as a heart attack. This is straight up a writers paradise and community for the like minded.
In case you are wondering, Yes, I signed up. Yes, yes, I know it's lunatic since I am in the middle of writing my book but truthfully if it can help push me forward I can't take fault in that. Aannnnd...I kinda have an idea for a second book. Shhhh, don't tell anyone, we'll get into that some other day.
Regardless. If you are a writer, like writing, like books and all that good stuff this is probably for you. I'm including the link and highly recommend checking them out.
Even if you don't sign up for the November Challenge you should still sign up.
